J-A-N-I-S had the chance to see singer Tom Krell, also known as "How To Dress Well", in an almost private session this week and I still get goosebumps thinking about it. This boy does not only know how to be "dressed well" (he was wearing the all-time favorite: jeans and a white tee), he definitely knows how to touch people: little light, his voice and a violin. His new album "Total Loss" is out now.

Polaroid Collection

Das NRW-Forum in Düsseldorf zeigt derzeit wieder eine tolle Ausstellung! "Die Polaroid Collection" dreht sich  - wie der Name schon vermuten lässt - um die kleinen und großen Sofortbilder. Neben Momentaufnahmen von u.a. Andy Warhol, Helmut Newton und Lady Gaga wird auch die Geschichte der Polaroid-Kamera und deren Siegeszug beleuchtet. Die Ausstellung geht noch bis zum 05.08.2012.

In Love With Avelon

Das Frühjahr/Sommer-Lookbook und die dazugehörigen Designs des holländischen Labels Avelon haben bei mir wahre Begeisterung ausgelöst!! Designer Erik Fresken hat wirklich tolle Arbeit geleistet und eine zugleich lässige, coole und schicke Kollektion gestaltet. Das Ganze wird durch die wundervolle Beschreibung des Labels noch ergänzt: "Avelon likes to be smart without being boring, to be casual with flair. We do not like to shout, we prefer to whisper. Avelon leads by following itself. We are Avelon, we believe in beautiful different."

What a gorgeous collection! I totally fell in love with the style of dutch brand Avelon. I could buy the whole s/s12 collection right away! Even more special is the brand's motto:"Avelon likes to be smart without being boring, to be casual with flair. We do not like to shout, we prefer to whisper. Avelon leads by following itself. Ein bisschen "grau" wirkt sie schon, meine Juni-Wunschliste, aber das muss ja - außer beim Wetter - nichts Schlechtes heißen. Hier meine vier Lieblinge: Beidseitig tragbares Shirt von Raquel Allegra über La Garçonne, coole Laptoptasche und mehr von Zookie, schwarze Absatzsandalen mit Riemchen von Zara und das große Statement-Armband mit Achat von Brook&Lyn über L-Atitude.

Gina Tricot Fashion Brunch

Hier einige Bilder vom Gina Tricot Fashion Brunch, der gestern in München stattfand. Nach der Stärkung  am reichhaltigen Buffet durfte man bereits einen ersten Blick auf den diesjährigen Modeherbst des schwedischen Trendlabels werfen. Und der hat es in sich: Neben flauschigen Pullis sind nämlich auch Transparenz-, Neon- und Lederakzente sowie Nietendetails mit von der Partie! Was dann wohl erst der Winter bringen wird?!...

À Paris - Part III

Süße Höschen-Deko an der Wand von Et Vous, das sich auf  der schönen "Rue de Sévigné" befindet.

Fast jede Madame in Paris trägt sie oder will sie: die schicken und bequemen (Tanz-)Schuhe von Repetto. 

Nicht nur die Mode von The Kooples ist sehr empfehlenswert, sondern auch das gleichnamige Magazin!

Some more impressions of my days in Paris: I like the panty decoration at the ET VOUS shop as well as: the lovely shoes from parisian brand Repetto, the brand new issue of the The Kooples magazin, the kind of romantic streetart, my new shimmery bracelet, the "Caravane" video from French singer  Raphaël and a vintage book and LP store with the coolest guy in town standing in front of it.;)

In Paris bei New Look in der Einkaufstasche gelandet: buntes Stricktop und orangerote Stoffschuhe. Passend dazu meine neuen Nagelfarben "Wild Hibiscus" und "Pale Palmtree" aus der "Miss Miami Nice"-Edition von Manhattan.           

Bought these red shoes and the lovely knit top at New Look in Paris. Like to wear it with my new nail polish "Wild Hibiscus" and "Pale Palmtree" from Manhattan's Limited Edition "Miss Miami Nice".

À Paris - Marc Jacobs

Das Pariser Museum "Les Arts Décoratifs" widmet der Marke Louis Vuitton, dem gleichnamigen Erfinder sowie dem heutigen Designchef Marc Jacobs derzeit eine große Ausstellung. Auf zwei Etagen wird die über 150jährige Erfolgsgeschichte Louis Vuittons erzählt; eine Etage ist dabei ganz und gar für Design-Genie Marc Jacobs reserviert, der seit 1997 für das Modehaus tätig ist. Neben einem Teil seiner einzigartigen Entwürfe kann man auch einen Blick auf seine Inspirationsquellen werfen, die als große und meterlange Bild- und Videocollagen präsentiert werden. Eine wirklich sehenswerte Ausstellung! Und wer schon mal in Paris unterwegs ist, kann sich in diesen beiden Shops auch gleich noch die aktuellsten MJ-Entwürfe ansehen:
